Caspia Text Line Terms

What the program is

Caspia is a health AI text line operated by Pro-Patient Tech, Inc. You text it health and lifestyle questions and an AI (Claude, made by Anthropic) texts back general information. You can also choose to send results (a photo, screenshot, or PDF), connect MyChart, or add an Apple Shortcut that shares your steps, sleep, resting heart rate, and workouts from your phone, so answers fit your situation.

Caspia is an AI, not a doctor. It does not diagnose, never tells anyone to stop or change a medication, and is not for emergencies. Medication questions end with "Bring this to your doctor." In an emergency call 911. In a mental health crisis call or text 988. We do not promise any health result.

How you join

You join by texting the Caspia number (1-888-488-3031) first, for example with the keyword HEALTHY, usually after seeing it on a poster or prescription pad at a clinician's office or on propatienttech.com. We never text you first. Your first reply from Caspia says:

By continuing in this chat, you confirm you are 18 or older and understand this is an AI agent, and AI can make mistakes. Call 911 for emergency care. We don't keep copies of photos or medical records you share. Reply STOP to stop all messages.

Right after that message, Caspia asks how it can help, or answers your question if your first text was one. When you share a result or connect records, Caspia may offer to keep that information handy for later questions. It is kept only if you say yes (for that item, or for everything you share if you ask Caspia to keep everything handy), and you can delete it at any time by texting DISCONNECT or DELETE. Continuing the chat confirms you are 18 or older and agree to these terms and our Privacy Policy. We record that with the date and time. If you tell us you are under 18, the chat ends and we delete it; we keep only your number and the fact that you said you are under 18, so the line stays closed to you. You must be the account holder for the phone, or have the account holder's permission.

Using Caspia is never required to get care from any clinic, and your clinician does not see your chat.

Messages you'll get

• Replies to your texts, including answers, follow-up questions, and links that open in your phone's browser.
• If you add the Apple Shortcut, it sends your readings from your phone (over a secure connection, or as a text) when they are needed to answer you, or once a day if you ask Caspia to keep them handy. Caspia does not reply to the readings themselves.
• No advertising, and no messages on behalf of other companies.

Message frequency varies with use. Msg & data rates may apply. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Stopping, help, and deleting

Text STOP at any time (or say it another clear way, like "stop texting me"). You get one confirmation (from our texting provider when you text STOP itself, or from Caspia for other wordings) and then no more texts:

You're unsubscribed from Caspia and won't get more texts. Reply START to come back.

We keep your number and the date you opted out so we keep honoring it, even if you also text DELETE. Text START to come back. If you text about a crisis or emergency, we still try to send crisis resources, but after STOP carriers may block them, so call or text 988, or call 911.

Text HELP for help, or email privacy@propatienttech.com. Text DISCONNECT to remove connected records and everything read from them or from results you sent (your chat stays). Text DELETE to erase everything tied to your number in our systems and to ask Twilio to delete its message records; if you text again, you start fresh. (If you had opted out or told us you are under 18, we keep only your number and that fact, so we keep honoring it.)

Photos, results, and links

Texts and photos are not encrypted while they travel over phone networks, so others could see them in transit. Before your first photo, Caspia asks you to confirm, and offers a private one-time upload link (HTTPS) instead. Upload and connect links expire after 30 minutes.

We read each photo, screenshot, or PDF once, keep only the results (for example a lab name, value, unit, and date), and delete the original from our systems and from Twilio right after reading. Your messages are deleted automatically after 30 days. Details are in our Privacy Policy.

Connected records

Connecting MyChart is optional. Caspia texts you a link; you sign in on MyChart's own page and approve. We never ask for your MyChart password, or any password, by text. Adding the Apple Shortcut is also optional, and you can delete it any time in the Shortcuts app. Screenshots work instead of either. Text DISCONNECT to remove connected records.

Your phone number

We do not sell, rent, or share your phone number or your consent to receive texts with anyone for their marketing. We share it only with the service providers that run Caspia, listed in our Privacy Policy.

Changes and ending the program

We may change these terms or end the program. When we change them, we update the "Last updated" date above. Text STOP at any time if you do not agree.
